| Briody Residence
Located in Westport, Connecticut, the existing house was a builders colonial built in the 1970s. The clients approached Rountree Architects to do a complete overhaul of the house.
The main elements of the design were:
• A new Master Bedroom suite over the existing 2 car garage
•
An expanded family Room with a cathedral ceiling and “catwalk” balcony to the Master.
•
New two story entrance
•
New front porch.
•
New covered patio in rear
•
We used used a variety of architectural elements to give it visual interest, such as dormers, cupola, and overhangs.
