Modern Greek Temple Style Screened Porch

I recently had the pleasure of having a client give me some "latitude" to completely transform a dilapidated old shed in the woods behind her house. She wanted to replace it with a screened porch which would serve as an outdoor room, surrounded by nature where she could go to read, relax and have conversations.

We went with a design which is a modern version of aGreek temple! I created a simple gabled structure with 8 columns and floor to ceiling screens between them.

The large front opening has a concealed “Phantom” screen which rolls down and is controlled by a hand-held remote.

My client is very happy with her room and having a special place to get away from the house, and into a whole extra space that serves a multitude of uses, from soo shared. . here are 2 of these at each corner attached to the wood column and beam. They are covered with the azek trim.
